Tiago Costa is a Doctor of Architecture and a RIBA chartered architect born in Porto, Portugal. Several master architects have influenced his output, include Álvaro Siza Vieira in Portugal, Spain’s Alberto Campo Baeza and Japanese architect Shinichi Ogawa. Tiago embraces different fields of architecture and design but is mainly focused on his architecture d’auteur. He has collaborated with Correia Ragazzi Architects but also with João Álvaro Rocha Architects to win a design/built competition in 2009. From 2013 to 2018, he was an Assistant Professor of Architecture at the American University in Dubai in UAE. His research is focused on the crossroads between the projection of built/unbuilt, real/fictional environments in Architecture and Film.
