Sir Peter Cook – Cheerful Architecture

Sir Peter Cook’s public lecture, “Cheerful Architecture,” successfully concluded on the evening of Friday, July 18, 2025. We sincerely thank everyone for their enthusiastic participation!

Sir Peter Cook is one of the most influential architectural thinkers of our time and a founding member of the legendary avant-garde group Archigram. Known for his futuristic imagination and humorous, experimental spirit, Cook shared deep insights into the concept of “Cheerful Architecture” during the lecture. The event was packed and warmly received by the audience.

Sir Peter Cook has long been devoted to both architectural education and practice. He previously served as the Chair of Architecture at The Bartlett School of Architecture, UCL, and is currently a Senior Fellow at the Royal College of Art in London. He also teaches at the Royal Academy of Arts and the Städelschule in Frankfurt, Germany. His bold and provocative design style continues to inspire new ways of thinking about the built environment worldwide.

It is also worth noting that during his visit to Taiwan, Sir Peter Cook launched a solo exhibition titled “Mountain / City — Peter Cook Solo Exhibition” at the Museum of Contemporary Art Taipei. The show features two site-specific installations and thirteen digital prints, and will be on view until August 10, 2025. We warmly invite those who haven’t yet visited to explore the master’s imaginative visions at the intersection of city and nature.

Once again, we extend our heartfelt thanks to all attendees for making this event a truly inspiring celebration of architecture.
