The construction structure is built and dismantled using a modular concept, which is an important topic of discussion when facing labor and material shortages. In the past, construction materials were typically solid and durable, while flexible and resilient materials have been insufficiently explored.
In the first semester of the 113th academic year’s building construction course, Professors Lin, Ching-Yuan and Liao, Chu-Tsen guided students through exploring the potential of soft structures by using knotting units in the semi-outdoor space of the RB Building corridor. This approach encouraged students to learn strategies and methods for spatial expansion through hands-on experience.
