Expanding Perspectives: Travel and Study Tokyo Architecture

To celebrate the 50th anniversary of National Taiwan University of Science and Technology, the Department of Architecture organized a five-day intensive course to Tokyo. This course led 22 third- and fourth-year students to visit well-known architectural landmarks in Tokyo, where they conducted visual documentation and data collection. The students visited Nikken Sekkei, the third-largest architectural design firm in the world, to gain a deeper understanding of professional practices. They also toured the architecture department and design research programs at Waseda University, broadening their perspectives on studying and working abroad. This Tokyo study tour enhanced the students’ ability to observe architecture in the field and provided valuable experience for international exchange and academic exploration.
