October 2016, Quito Declaration based on Richard Sennet’s city thesis was adopted at the United Nations Conference. It makes us think that what would it be like if we apply the city thesis to the relics? Will it turn into a happy space for people? This design increases new imagination and possibilities of relics renascence.
This design chose Agenna Shipyard Relics as the site to renascence. By studying the borders and the behaviors, new organization is created, constantly interwining into the old frame of Argenna. At the same time, echoing the unique history with narratives deepens the local connection to the ground, and arouses people’s associations.

Project Name:Convertible Hospital
Concept:
Each year , 1,000 or more people die in the war because when military conflicts between two or more organizations, including wars and armed conflicts that are taking place throughout the world and continuing to result in violent deaths.
There are many organizations fighting in Syria, including the Islamic State, the Syrian opposition and the Syrian government. A convertible hospital provides the most immediate medical emergency in the country which often happened war such us Syria, Israel, Palestine, Ukraine and Iraq. When the war happened, in addition to downsizing the entire building to below the ground, building blocks can be quickly remove and be shipped by helicopter to the surrounding areas. The idea of building is originated from China’s traditional skills – Luban lock. “Luban Lock” is a three-axis combination of building blocks, there are several forms, the six groups of the most common and six different blocks combined with each other into a square. Until today, some rural carpenters in China, “Luban Lock” are still handed down from generation to generation. The design of the building block is also the same as the Luban lock has six types. Those six types respectively emergency room, surgery room, recovery room, classrooms, connecting corridors and the block with lightweight material which can be separated at any time. The way to decrease the building is the groove of wood structure combined each other, and use a vertical elevator as a support for the building. With this convertible hospital, the most effective combination of the medical field is made and can be combined with the upper and lower. These areas of medicine are effectively protected on the ground when a war takes place and they can extend their lives and provide better health care and learning for people in countries where war zones are frequent.

In this artificial photosynthesis system, we bionic the roots, stems, veins, and leaf tissue of plants by 3D printing. We print the veins of the water in the frame of the curtain wall, which includes the water needed before photosynthesis. There are three layers of tissue in the frame, the upper cover (tempered glass), the cell frame(middle frame), the lower plate, and the artificial cells in the middle.
