Five East Asian Universities Urban & Architecture Summer Workshop 2024
National Taiwan University of Science and Technology’s Department of Architecture participated in the 2024 Five East Asian Universities Urban & Architecture Summer Workshop held in Bangkok. This event, started in Yokohama, Japan in 2006, aims to foster exchange of design ideas and urban planning experiences among East Asian universities. This year’s host is Thammasat University of Technology in Thailand.
The workshop brought together around 65 participants from five East Asian universities, including NTUST, led by Professors Tsai Meng-Ting and Yang Fu-Fei. The theme focused on revitalizing Bangkok’s old city canal areas through design and development. Activities included design workshops, lectures, and urban studies to explore sustainable development and innovative design strategies for future cities.
