Architectural Photography Lecture by Professor Fu Chaoqing

Professor Chao-Ching Fu, Honorary Professor of the Department of Architecture at National Cheng Kung University, has long been devoted to the study of architecture and culture, particularly in the context of Taiwan’s architectural history and cultural heritage.

Architecture Photography class instructor Professor Wu Ji-fu has specially invited Professor Fu Chao-Ching to share with undergraduate students the processes and achievements of documenting architecture and cultural heritage over the past 40 years, with the theme “Journey of Time, Architecture of the Heart.”

Professor Fu Chao-Ching

Honorary Professor of the Department of Architecture at National Cheng Kung University. Since writing his first article in 1983, he has produced nearly 1000 works of various kinds, making him one of the most prolific scholars in the field of Taiwanese architecture and cultural heritage.

Additionally, Professor Fu Chao-Ching is also a photographer. Starting in 1972, he has excelled in architectural photography and has held numerous solo exhibitions. Professor Fu’s works have received multiple Golden Tripod Awards, including the highest honor in the now-discontinued Individual Works Award category. Due to his contributions to architectural culture and cultural heritage, he has been awarded the Rotary International Vocational Service Excellence Award, the Taiwan Architectural Society Architecture Medal (Architecture Art and Culture category), and the Tainan Cultural Award, among other honors.
